FLAMENCO ROUTE

Since the Wine and Brandy Route was created, enjoying the best wines of this city is much easier for visitors. Indeed, if these wines are accompanied by a good show, success will almost always be guaranteed.

The City Promotional Institute decided to establish the Flamenco Tourist Route, an itinerary which travels through the most prestigious flamenco quarters of the city: San Miguel and Santiago.

Discovering the neighbourhoods of San Miguel and Santiago involves getting to know first-hand the flamenco clubs, bars, monuments and streets where the most important flamenco figures have enjoyed many nights of success. From the irreplaceable Lola Flores, to la Paquera de Jerez, Fernando Terremoto and Manuel Moneo, and even the great figure Don Antonio Chacón, without forgetting the well-known and respected José Merced and Paco Cepero. Each and every one of them occupy an outstanding position in one of the two routes proposed for visitors to discover “the other” Jerez.

Nowadays, the tourist importance of the route has led Globalia, on a national level, and TUI Spain, on an international level, to include this initiative in the marketing plans that these entities are currently managing.
