Sherry Golf
Designed in 2004 by Stirling & Martin (Global Company Golf) appears like an accessible course for amateurs and challenging for professionals. Proof of it are the many important tournaments we had the honor to host, like the Spanish Open Amateur Championship, the Seniors International Championship and the official venue of the 2007 Spanish Ladies Open Amatuer Championship.

The layout is characterized for being one of the most pleasant walkthroughs in Spain: - 18 holes Championship course: 6572 meters, Par 72 - Pitch & Putt course: 911 meters, Par 3 Sherry Golf is within the new concepts of American golf course design: funny but safe in the game. With ondulations and well placed hazards, without making it too hilly, in order to ensure a pleasant walktrhough. Wide fairways and ample greenes, grant to Sherry Golf the category of luxury course.

The Clubhouse counts with more than 1,800 m2 designed under the Sherry flair giving a warm atmosphere as the city of Jerez gives it to the visitors. Its facilities include every single detail necessary for the sport and the celebrations of tournaments, like: Pro shop, club storage room, locker rooms, restaurant, terrace grill, cafeteria, spike bar, lounges, golf academy, and many more.

The exceptional geographic location of Jerez and its singular surroundings make this area the perfect destination for the visitor. 3,200 hours of light per year, makes that to our coast it's called Costa de la Luz (Coast of light).

Montecastillo Barcelo Golf Resort
Located next to the Grand Prix circuit near Jerez, Montecastillo opened in 1992. The official inauguration took place during the 1994 Turespaña Masters Open de Andalucía in which course designer Jack Nicklaus competed together with his sons Jackie and Gary. Following the Golden Bea´s preferences ("I hate uphill lies") Montecastillo is mostly flat.

But where the terrain takes control a downhill course has been engineered. "I like to see what ´m getting" is Nicklaus´ explanation.

The 18th is one hole which proves the design philosophy. An elevated tee looks down forty metres over a broad sweep of fairway bordering a lake to the left with the green just beyond.

The Montecastillo Hotel and Castle Clubhouse overlook the final green from the right. Sandy Lyle hit a massive drive on this hole into the hotel swimming pool.
