Jerez is famous for Sherry and wineries. Many of them can be visited and you can see them just by presenting yourself at the winery facilities. Nevertheless, you are advised to contact these centres so that you get informed about the exact time in which visits are carried out in your native language. Besides, visits are limited on weekends and public days.

Jerez is famous not only for Sherry and wineries but also for the horses.

Every Thursday there is a show at the Royal Andalusian School of Equestrian Art. In summer season there is another show on Tuesday. On Saturday you can visit the Cartuja Horse Breeding Herd in a large piece of land in Cadiz Province called El Suero, about 3.1 miles from Jerez.

In your leisure time you can visit the local zoo or the speedway tracks which are about 3.20 miles from Jerez in the direction of Arcos de la Frontera.

If you go to the neighbouring town called El Puerto de Santa Maria, you can have a very good time at Cadiz Bay Casino or you can pay a visit to the nice Saint Mark Castle.

That town has two wineries called Osborne Winery and Terry Winery which accept visits. Besides, there is a carriage Museum.



In Cadiz City you can visit The Tavira Tower or Cadiz Museum among other tourist centres. Finally, In Chiclana de la Frontera there is an interesting and magnificent puppet museum called Marin Puppet Museum.
